Our Story
Creative Edge Art Gallery
is a division of our parent company, Creative Edge Landscapes. Interesting combination, No? The story has a long and rich history, but the skinny of it is that our landscape company expanded to include an urban lumber division where the creativity of our owner, Robert Livingston, could expand. The home office of 12 years was relocated so we could put the wood pieces being made in the lumber shop on display for our clients and the public. We found a quaint space in a historic building dating back to the establishment of Twin Lakes in 1937. The space offered many opportunities, and the landlord is an artist who envisioned the space as an art gallery. Only a short while after moving in, we felt as though we were operating out of a perpetual winter with a color scheme set in white and brown. Fitting for Wisconsin, but not for the people who reported to work each day. Thus, began Creative Edge Art Gallery and what a time to start something that required human contact to survive. We dedicated ourselves to slowly melding the space, looking for local artists, developing policies, envisioning a time when the gallery would be a popular place to stop when in Twin Lakes. All the preparation paid off as we launched our first exhibition at the end of 2022. Since, we have displayed over 50 local artists, put on kids' art classes, hosted paint n' sip events, and opened our doors for the community. We have further ambitions to help people meet our artists and continue supporting the local art community. Our displays change out several times a year, so don't hesitate to take a trip out to the gallery to explore the inspiration art has to offer!
